| Description | WNC Fallon and Carson City will each offer a hands-on, two-day course that will cover a wide range of wilderness first aid topics. The non-credit course, Wilderness First Aid, CMSV 143C will meet Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 7-8, in Fallon and Nov. 14-15 in Carson, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Cost: $95. No first aid or medical experience is required to take the course. Wilderness First Aid is a comprehensive course on how to react, respond and save a life in remote life-threatening situations. The 18-hour class, designed for trip leaders, camp counselors and outdoor enthusiasts, is pre-approved and meets requirements for the Boy Scouts of America, American Camping Association and the United States Forest Service. Students will earn a two-year American Health and Safety certification Register online at www.wnc.edu ; click the "Class Schedule" link on the home page.
