Open Positions

ASWN has openings for the following paid and unpaid positions:

ASWN Senators
Fallon: 1 position
Carson City: 1 position
$9 per hour

Qualifications/Responsibilities:


  • Enroll in at least six credits, with a 2.50 GPA

  • Work in conjunction with all other positions to ensure successful completion of ASWN events, activities, and daily operations

  • Attend weekly meetings each Tuesday from 7:30-9:30 a.m. at the Carson Campus (via interactive video in Fallon)

  • Work 4 to 8 hours per week; at least two hours will be scheduled office hours, not including scheduled government and programming meetings

  • Attend all Associated Students of Western Nevada government and programming board meetings

  • Promote and publicize ASWN activities, services, position openings, etc.

  • Create promotional items for events

  • Assist and attend other ASWN programming and activities

  • Attend all scheduled trainings and workshops


Senator appointees are on a probationary period before being sworn in, and have the opportunity, based on performance, to be voted into open Executive Board positions.



ASWN Representatives
Unlimited volunteer positions

Qualifications/Responsibilities:


  • Enroll in at least six credits with a 2.50 GPA

  • Work in conjunction with all other positions to ensure successful completion of ASWN events, activities, and daily operations

  • Work 2 hours per week. These are unpaid hours.

  • Attend weekly meetings each Tuesday from 7:30-9:30 a.m. at the Carson Campus (via interactive video in Fallon)

  • Attend all scheduled trainings and workshops

  • Attend all Associated Students of Western Nevada scheduled meetings, unless approved by the Board


Representative appointees are on a probationary period before being sworn in. Representatives have the opportunity, based on performance, to be voted in as Senators or Executive Board members if positions are available.
