After graduation, Kevin continued to teach part-time in the music department at Northridge, and also at Moorpark Community College. He was hired as the Webmaster for a music technology retail company, where he spent many years before deciding that it was time to leave Southern California and move to Reno. Prior to being hired at WNC, Kevin taught music at Truckee Meadows Community College as an adjunct faculty member, where he was the director of the concert band. He is an active musician and has performed for such artists as Frank Sinatra Jr., Regis Philbin, Michael Crawford, Buck Owens, and others. He performs regularly in local groups including the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra, BrassAckwards swing band and others. In addition, Kevin is the organist at St. Catherine's Episcopal Church and a staff musician at Trinity Episcopal Church, both in Reno. Kevin is married to Nikki and they live with two short dogs, Chloe and Dylan. Current courses taught by Kevin MurphyPress + to add a class to the class schedule planner.
All classes are full length semester courses (Fall 2008 is August 25–December 13) unless otherwise noted. |
