In an effort to provide a safe campus environment and assist students, Western Nevada College has developed a Behavioral Intervention Team that includes members of our college as well as community professionals. We have procedures in place to ensure open communication between departments on campus as well as with community partners.
Western Nevada College mandates emergency management/active shooter training for all employees, including part-time employees and adjunct faculty. All WNC employees must complete this training and send their completion certificate to Brian Crowe by August 26, 2013. New employees must complete the training within 60 days of employment. Non-WNC employees are also encouraged to complete this simple training. Go to www.wnc.edu/crisis to complete the training.
