Services
The Environmental Health and Safety provide a principal local source of expertise for the college in safety, health and envromental matters. The department provides assistance to the college community in the following areas:
- The identification and resolution of potential environmental health hazards and wastes
- The development and deployment of workplace and classroom training programs
- Planning and conducting evaluations/ inspections to determine compliance to Environmental, Health and Safety regulations
- Working with WNC's Human Resources Office and NSHE Business Center North on workers' compensation issues
- Establish guidelines and facilitating campus emergency planning
- Interface with other NSHE institutions and community groups and public officials in areas relating to environmental, emergency and safety policies
