Activities

  • Assessment and Outcomes
Participate in the college assessment process by consulting with college departments and units about data feasibility and structure, and providing them with data and data analysis. Provide student outcome (retention, persistence, capture, successful completion, graduation survey) and other data in support of instructional program and student and administrative services assessment measures. Coordinate the college administrative assessment process.
  • Publications
Publish statistical information for both internal and external use in paper and electronic forms as is appropriate. Publications include Performance Indicators, Campus Statistics, and Longitudinal Views of Selected Measures, a college brochure, and the annual factbook.
  • Institutional Planning
Participate in college planning by providing data and data analysis for facilities, budget, assessment, and program review.
Take part in special projects as assigned by the administration. Major projects in 2002 include the Education Alliance baccalaureate program feasibility study and the college’s workforce development project with Clarus Corporation.
  • Enrollment Management
Provide analytical support for enrollment management including enrollment patterns and trends, enrollment history, enrollment projections, and attendance patterns (student persistence, class cancellation rates, and retention).
  • Faculty and Staff Studies
Supply information on full and part-time faculty including faculty workload, overloads, department faculty distribution, diversity, and grade distribution.
  • Student Evaluation
Oversee the student course evaluation process including the dissemination and collection of materials reporting of results, and college adherence to the Board of Regents’ mandate that every class be evaluated and that the proper security of all documentation be maintained. We ensure the confidentiality rights of students and instructors are protected throughout the process.

  • State and Federal Reporting
Act as the designated Keyholder for Integrated Post-Secondary Education Data System (IPEDS) reports, including data on students (graduation rates, enrollment, financial aid, etc.), faculty and staff, finances, libraries, and other resources. Provide several scheduled and unscheduled reports to the NSHE including: annual reports, space utilization, faculty workload, biennial budget, enrollment reports and projections, remedial education, distance education, funding taxonomies, and performance measures, and contribute to the NSHE’s efforts to standardize reporting procedures and expand the System Data Warehouse. Also prepare various reports requested by the state legislature in support of state higher education initiatives and planning.
