Director, Liberal Arts & Sciences

The Director of Liberal Arts and Sciences is an administrative role that serves as the leader of the Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) Division and related programs, with primary responsibility for the development, management, and execution of semester and annual class schedules and faculty instructional workloads that align with student needs for certificate and degree attainment. This includes the development of course offerings, instructor assignments, overloads, and adjunct utilization in strict accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and in close collaboration with Academic Planning and the Vice President of Academic & Student Affairs (VPASA).

Grounds Maintenance Worker 2 - Landscape and Irrigation

Western Nevada College (WNC) is recruiting for a full-time Grounds Maintenance Worker 2. This position provides assistance to the Grounds department of the college by performing: maintenance and minor repair on all of the grounds equipment, irrigation systems, and installation and maintenance of landscaped areas for the college. This includes all plows, tractors, sanders, mowers and trimmers; installation of new irrigation systems and maintenance of existing system; maintenance of existing landscaped areas including mowing, aerating, thatching, pruning and weeding and other duties as needed. Western Nevada College is recruiting for a Custodial Worker 1 in the Facilities Management & Planning department in Carson City, NV. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cleaning restrooms, floors, stairwells, carpets, equipment, and chalk/whiteboards; emptying trash cans; stocking paper towels, toilet paper, and soap; wiping/disinfecting surfaces; assembling furniture; executing event setup and take-down, snow removal, and building security; maintaining custodial supplies; and other duties as assigned.

Instructor, Nursing - Fallon

Western Nevada College (WNC) is seeking a dynamic and adaptable Nursing Instructor primarily based in Fallon, Nevada. This position plays a key role in WNC’s strategic expansion of its Nursing Program across its service region and in the ongoing transition of curriculum to meet the evolving healthcare and educational environment.  Preference will be given to candidates residing in or near Fallon. This position operates within a multi-site program structure and reports to designated nursing and site leadership, including site-based and program directors. Teaching assignments, modalities, and primary work locations are determined by program needs and will evolve over time. Regular travel to other WNC campuses and service areas is required. Faculty may be reassigned or relocated within the service region. Flexibility in teaching responsibilities and work location is an essential requirement of this position. This position is subject to a background check.

Student Success Coordinator

Administrative Faculty, Non Tenure Track, Benefits Eligible.   Position Overview The Student Academic Support Coordinator provides leadership, coordination, and oversight for Western Nevada College’s Testing Centers and Academic Coaching Program. This role manages daily operations, supervises staff, and ensures the delivery of secure, accessible, and student-centered testing services. In addition, the Coordinator develops, implements, and evaluates academic coaching initiatives that support student success and retention. Serving as a central point of contact for students, faculty, and external partners, the position ensures compliance with institutional policies and professional standards while fostering a welcoming and effective learning environment.

Instructor, Automotive Technology

The Automotive Technology Instructor will teach 30 equated load hours/year (to include preparation time, grading, etc.); develop and grade exams and projects to evaluate student learning and progress; monitor student progress, maintain accurate attendance rosters and submit student grades, as required.    The instructor will also deliver courses at all program levels. Courses may be offered day, evening and weekends through a variety of modalities from face-to-face to fully online. This may include delivering courses at rural and high school locations.
