Grounds Maintenance Worker 2 - Landscape and Irrigation

Western Nevada College (WNC) is recruiting for a full-time Grounds Maintenance Worker 2. This position provides assistance to the Grounds department of the college by performing: maintenance and minor repair on all of the grounds equipment, irrigation systems, and installation and maintenance of landscaped areas for the college. This includes all plows, tractors, sanders, mowers and trimmers; installation of new irrigation systems and maintenance of existing system; maintenance of existing landscaped areas including mowing, aerating, thatching, pruning and weeding and other duties as needed. Duties will be performed at the Carson campus.

Employee Relations Manager

The Employee Relations Manager administers day-to-day employee and labor relations; analyzes, advises on, tracks, manages, mediates, and resolves employee relations cases; advises employees seeking assistance with workplace problems; assists supervisors in utilizing best practices when addressing employee relations issues; increases supervisors’ abilities to positively impact employee performance, conduct, and morale; identifies and works to correct issues affecting workplace morale and productivity; develops and maintains systems that support positive employee relations; provides education for supervisors and managers, and develops and administers training; and collaborates with the CHRO & CoS, General Counsel, HR Manager, and Civil Rights Specialist on employee and labor relations matters.   The position reports to the CHRO & CoS. The incumbent will be based on the Carson City campus with occasional travel to the Fallon and Douglas campuses, and occasional travel for training and conferences. The hours are generally Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 5:00 pm.

Center Coordinator, The Link

The Link Center Coordinator position provides comprehensive administrative and programmatic support for Western Nevada College's College and Career Readiness (CCR) Center. This position assists the Director and CCR staff with day-to-day operations, student engagement, and partnership coordination to ensure efficient functioning of the center and high-quality student experience.Responsibilities include managing The Link, coordinating third-party on-site staff, and assisting students and community members with career exploration and coaching, and proctoring career-interest assessments. This role is central to the college's mission of connecting students to workforce opportunities and supporting community economic development through career readiness and training access.

Workforce Development Program Liaison (ROADS Program)  

The Workforce Development Program Liaison will provide leadership and coordination of WNC’s partnership with Nevada Department of Employment Training and Rehabilitation (DETR) on Realizing Opportunities for the American Dream to Succeed (ROADS) Program. This program’s goal is to enhance the skills of Nevada’s workers who are unemployed and/or underemployed. The ROADS program will capitalize on the existing strengths and resources of WNC and its partners to focus on industry-determined priorities in order to align training with industry demands. This position collaborates with faculty, division, and institution staff to create pathways between the community and WNC in order to open opportunities for the region’s workforce. This position represents WNC within the community seeking opportunities to engage new students, recruits and guides students through the program while engaging support from WNC partners and program investors. Occasional travel to Reno and other WNC campuses may be required.
