Child Care Worker

Tahoe Turning Point, Inc.

Description: Tahoe Turning Point, Inc., a non-profit company that operates five residential group home facilities for at risk youth, has immediate openings for Child Care Workers in our new female group home in South Lake Tahoe. The youth we take care of are wards of the court or adjudicated youth in the state of California. We are licensed by, and all of our programs are regulated by, the California Department of Social Service Community Care Licensing. Tahoe Turning Point group home facilities are an RCL-10 which provide a structured, family-like community atmosphere, incorporating outdoor activities, educational options and drug and alcohol counseling, along with mental health therapy. Must be over 21 years old, must have a CA or NV drivers license, a clean driving record and a clean criminal history.

Job Information

  • Qualifications: Applicants must be able to demonstrate good decision-making and coping skills and recognize changes in behavior. A Bachelor degree in a behavioral science preferred and/or previous experience with at risk youth in a group home setting.
