This position is with the Administrative Office of the Courts, Information Technology Web Services Division. This position is located in Carson City, Nevada. Reporting to the Web Services Manager, this position will support the Internet and Intranet websites. With little direction, the successful candidate is expected to perform the following job duties:
1. Provide ongoing analysis, design, development, test, implementation and maintenance of web related projects
2. Develop technical architecture of Internet and Intranet websites including scripting, database design, and user interface design
3. Refreshes content on Internet and Intranet to ensure accuracy and timeliness of information and images
4. Monitor the Internet and Intranet sites
5. Make recommendations regarding design issues, upgrades, and security relating to Internet and Intranet websites
6. Analyzes traffic to Internet website and make recommendation on necessary programming changes
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with major course work in computer science or information systems, or equivalent. To work within the framework of the existing intranet and internet websites, the candidate must posses three years' experience with the following skills: Windows Server, Apache HTTP Server 2.0, XHTML, CSS, PHP 4 or greater, MySQL 3 or greater, Macromedia Studio, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access, JavaScript, and XML/XSLT. Also must have experience with editing HTML and image editing, an understanding of information architecture and Web usability principles, strong communication skills, and the ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure. Other desirable skills include: Web Services, Java servlet, JSP, J2EE, and Unix/Linux, OR any related combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and skills.
Salary Range: $40,294,40 - $71,242.56 DOE, employee/employer paid retirement
