Information and Marketing Services has received numerous awards for public information events or marketing campaigns. The National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR), the nation's premiere professional organization for community college marketing and public relations, presented the awards to Western Nevada.

Medallion awards are regional awards where WNC competes against colleges in Nevada, California, Arizona, Utah, Hawaii, and the Pacific Islands. Judges include professionals in the fields of journalism, marketing and public relations throughout the Southwest.

Paragon awards are national awards where WNC competes against hundreds of colleges from throughout the United States and in other countries. Judges include professionals in the fields of journalism, marketing and public relations throughout the country.
