Meet with a Counselor

Before you register for classes, call Counseling Services at 775-445-3267 to make an appointment to meet with a counselor for academic advisement.

Why meet with a counselor? Meeting with a counselor prior to selecting your classes can save you time and money. Getting academic advice will alert you to prerequisites you may need, steer you into classes you can use for your degree or certificate program, and let you know which classes will or will not transfer to a 4 year college.

What should I bring? Bring your placement test results and a copy of your high school or college transcripts (unofficial copies are fine).

What other services are available? WNCC offers a variety of counseling services as an integral part of each student’s educational experience, including:
  • Academic Advising
  • Career Counseling
  • Career Exploration
  • Personality and Occupational Interest Testing
  • Job Search Techniques
  • Labor Market Information
  • Personal Counseling
  • Help with personal problems and concerns (strictly confidential)
For more information, please call 775-445-3267.
