Dr. Judith Cordia, director of Allied Health programs at Western Nevada Community College, will speak to prospective nursing students on Wednesday, Nov. 17, at 5 p.m. The session will provide information about WNCC allied health programs, licensing and employment opportunities. The session will focus on the college's highly successful associate degree nursing program and is geared to students interested in entering the WNCC associate degree nursing program in 2005 and beyond.
At the session, Dr. Cordia says, "I plan to address all of the issues and questions that people considering the nursing profession might have. We'll discuss transferability of courses and credits and how to prepare for admissions, including the new academic skills test that will be required as part of the admission process."
Dr. Cordia's talk will be in room 221 of the Cedar Building at WNCC Carson City, 2201 W. College Parkway.
An information night for students interested in WNCC's surgical technology certificate of achievement program will be on Thursday, Dec. 16, at 5 p.m. at the WNCC Carson City campus.
