Learn About Health Careers at WNCC

Western Nevada Community College's Division of Nursing and Allied Health invites anyone interested in a career as a nurse or surgical technologist to attend an information session on Thursday, Nov. 10, 5:30-6:30 p.m., in Cedar Building. Rms. 110 and 111. WNCC offers both an Associate of Applied Science degree in Nursing and a Certificate of Achievement in Surgical Technology.

Session topics will include course and clinical requirements, the application process and timelines, college review of student grades and transcripts, and how college counselors can help students plan their schedules to be successful.

Director of Nursing and Allied Health Judy Cordia said the sessions will provide a good opportunity to meet with individual college representatives.

"We invite you to take advantage of face-to-face interactions with nursing, surgical technology, counseling and admissions faculty members," Dr. Cordia said.
