Western's Wildcat baseball players have been hard at work preparing for their upcoming season, but they're also finding time to "give back" to the community with volunteer service.
The off-season has provided a great chance for players to balance responsibilities outside the lines of the baseball field. Team members have been spending extra study hours getting ready for end of semester exams. They have also been training in the gym to improve power and speed.
But with the holiday season, WNCC players also took time away from "off-season" responsibilities so they could give back to the community, volunteering to sort donated food at Friends in Service Helping (FISH) food bank.
"This is the same community that has given our young baseball program such great support," said Assistant Baseball Coach Andrew Patterson. "Now it's our turn to support our community."
