Donations Help Students

SBC Communications Inc. has reinforced its commitment to Western Nevada Community College with a $10,000 donation to support "One Stop Recruiting Shop" technology that will be used when traveling to rural high schools. The Traveling Outreach Sets will assist outreach coordinators and counseling personnel with college admissions, financial aid and entrance testing. The college will purchase hand-held personal computers that allow immediate feedback and expanded services to reach more students. Counselors in the field can meet with students and immediately schedule counseling and testing appointments or answer questions about registration with the new, portable technology.
