Western Nevada Community College Fallon's chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the national honor society for two-year colleges, is inducting new members Friday, April 21, in Rm. 302 of Virgil R. Getto Hall, 5 p.m. Admission is free and the public is invited.
"The ceremony is designed to commend the inductees for their high scholastic achievements, introduce them to the philosophies of Phi Theta Kappa, and to honor and inspire them as new members," PTK Advisor and WNCC Biological Science instructor Vicki Loseke said.
The guest speaker will be Dr. Lynda Mae, WNCC's new Psychology and Sociology professor. Mae has prepared an upbeat, inspirational presentation to welcome and honor the inductees. Other participants include Bonnie York, Andrea Ripley, Sherry Black, Ben Casad, Joshua Johnson, and Loseke.
Inductees for the 2005-2006 school year are Rose Anderson, Lorraine Bevins, Gina Corson, Jake Coval, Ashley Curlee, Stacee Dickey, Teresa Dillinger, Pat Dunn, Tami Dunn, Lori Fain, Shaye Lewis, Teresa Little, Del Lofing, Crystal McNamara, Chad Munoz, Stephanie Santos, Brittany Washburn, and Larry White.
