Nursing Program Earns 93 Percent Pass Rate
Western Nevada Community College's acclaimed associate degree nursing program achieved a 93 percent pass rate for students taking the National Council Licensing Examination for Registered Nurses.
Students completing the two-year nursing program earn an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing and are eligible to sit for this national exam. The WNCC Nursing department graduated 42 this year.
Many of the nursing graduates go on to work in Northern Nevada at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center, St. Mary's Regional Medical Center, Washoe Medical Center, Banner Churchill Community Hospital, and Barton Memorial Hospital.
