Learn Publishing Skills at WNCC Yerington Seminar

Love to write? Want to learn how to get work into print? Wonder what kind of work will get noticed? Learn this and more from two known writers in a "How to Publish your Writing" seminar at Western Nevada Community College Yerington September 14-16.

Writers Arthur and Kit Knight have been recognized for their works in publications such as "Contemporary Biography," "Contemporary Authors," and "Who's Who in America."

Arthur Knight has taught creative writing for 25 years, written novels, film reviews, and more. Kit has published poems, short stories, and newspaper articles. In the seminar, they will critique work, discuss how to find an agent, and give writers tips on how to form and develop ideas for writing.

The publishing seminar will open with an introductory meeting on Thursday, Sept. 14, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Copper Creek Restaurant, 211 N. Main St. The seminar will then convene on Friday, Sept. 15, and Saturday, Sept. 16, from 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the Lyon County Library, 20 Nevin Way.

Cost: $40, $35 for seniors. Hurry and sign up; there is a limited enrollment of 20 students.
