Learn About World Religions This Fall at WNCC Fallon
According to researcher David B. Garrett, who gathers religious information for the Encyclopedia Britannica and World Almanac, there are more than 10,000 religions in the world today. Western Nevada Community College in Fallon is offering an opportunity for students this fall to learn the main moral and religious views of some of them in a class beginning Tuesday, Aug. 29.
World Religions (PHIL 210, Call #31227, Sec. F01) will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-6:45 p.m. Class instructor Ron Marrujo will examine the similarities and vast differences among the world’s major religions. Students will also study the unique perspectives of the many different cultures of religion. Cost: $169.50.
The religions class is just one of many interesting classes being offered at WNCC Fallon this fall. In total, there are more than 325 classes available at WNCC Fallon, including online courses.
A full class schedule is available at www.wnc.edu or on campus.
