The Capital Soccer Club and the Adult Youth Soccer Organization have awarded $10,000 to Western Nevada Community College to support operations of its women’s soccer program. AYSO donated $5,000 and the Capital Soccer Club matched their contribution.

“We’re grateful to have these community partners and are thankful for the generous donations,” said WNCC Soccer Head Coach Hillary Arthur. “We hope the funds will help us to surpass the excellence we achieved this year.”

The Wildcats finished their second year with a Scenic West Athletic Conference Region XVIII Championship and a 10-9-2 overall record. Arthur was also named the SWAC Coach of the Year.

Funds will help support travel expenses, coaches’ salaries and equipment needs.
