WNCC Yerington to Offer Microsoft Computer Classes
Two computer programs have been growing in popularity in the business world, helping management in a variety of different ways. Microsoft Access can assist its users in reporting, sharing and keeping track of information. Microsoft PowerPoint can help people make powerful presentations. Western Nevada Community College Yerington is offering a chance to learn these two important programs in two upcoming spring classes.
Access Certification Prep (CIT 203B, Call #17201, Sec. Y01) will meet on Tuesdays, April 3-May 1, from 1-4 p.m. This one credit class will cover the basic and advanced features of Microsoft Access needed to create databases for use by individuals or small groups. The course serves as preparation for the Microsoft Office User Specialist Access exam or Expert user. Cost: $56.50.
PowerPoint Certification Prep (CIT 204B, Call #15594, Sec. Y01) will meet on Thursdays, April 5-May 3, from 1-4 p.m. This one-credit class will move students from introductory concepts, such as creating, editing and formatting presentations, to advanced topics including animating content, incorporating multimedia and deploying presentations as web pages. Cost: $56.50.
