Find Out How to Become a Registered Nurse
Western Nevada Community College Fernley invites anyone interested in a career as a registered nurse to attend an information session about the college's Associate Degree Nursing Program Monday, April 23, 5-6:30 p.m., at the Fernley High School Old Library. Dr. Judy Cordia, WNCC director of Nursing and Allied Health, will facilitate the presentation.
“People can expect to hear about the college’s vision for making nursing education more available to the rural communities of Nevada,” Dr. Cordia said. “We will provide information on the admission and application processes, licensure requirements, employment opportunities in their communities, and more.”
The session will also include an overview of the nursing profession, a question and answer period, informal socializing, and an overview of the academic programs and financial aid available at WNCC. Western offers an Associate of Applied Science degree in Nursing.
