WNCC Student Work Features Mosaic Art

A collection of mosaic artwork from Western Nevada Community College student Brad Sumner will hang in WNCC Fallon’s Getto Hall Gallery Monday, April 16, through Friday, April 20. This exhibit is part of the college’s student portfolio shows that are appearing in the gallery this month.

“Every piece I create has significance to me – some thought pattern, a statement or dream image that haunts or intrigues me, which drives its creation,” Sumner said. “When I start a sketch, it is a passion released through my hand, transferred to paper, clearing my mind of clutter, and solidifying my feeling or position. The creation of an item of beauty from hardscape scraps and pieces brings me personal satisfaction.”
