Former Wildcats Make Debut with Minor League Teams

After signing major league contracts in recent weeks, it didn’t take long for Cole Rohrbough, TJ Wohlever and Justin Garcia to pitch for their new teams. All three former Western Nevada Community College baseball players made successful minor league debuts last night.

Rohrbough was the starting pitcher for the Danville Braves and struck out four in 2.1 innings. He was on a 50-pitch count and gave up two runs, one earned, on four hits and one walk. His team lost 6-5 to the Bluefield Orioles. Visit www.dbraves.com to follow Rohrbough.

Wohlever struck out five batters in two innings in his first game with the Gulf Coast League Braves. He gave up one run on four hits and didn’t walk a batter. His team lost 2-0 to the GCL Blue Jays. Garcia pitched one scoreless inning for the Hudson Valley Renegades. He allowed two hits and struck out one batter for his team that lost 6-5 to the Aberdeen IronBirds. Visit www.hvrenegades.com to follow Garcia.
