Two More Driver’s Ed Classes Offered This Summer at WNC

Western Nevada College continues its Driver Training Program with two 30-hour non-credit courses that meet the training requirements to obtain a Nevada driver's license. Classes will meet Monday-Thursday, Aug. 6-9 and Aug. 13-16, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

The classes combine lectures, class discussion, guest speakers, films and a computerized driving simulator to cover Nevada driving regulations, basic vehicle control, and driving maneuvers in various environments and situations.

To register for the non-credit classes, students must fill out the WNC Community Education Admission Application at http://www.wnc.edu/drivereducation/
and then mail, fax or bring it in to WNC Carson City, 2201 West College Parkway. Once this application is processed, normally two days after it is received, students may proceed with Web-REG. By using this application, students will not be assessed a $15 application fee.

Classes are open to anyone age 15 and older, and the Nevada Public Agency Insurance Pool, the Public Agency Compensation Trust, and State Farm Insurance all support the course. Cost: $105.
