All high school baseball players in their senior year are invited to attend the Western Nevada College Wildcats baseball team tryouts on Sunday, Sept. 30, at 10 a.m., at John L. Harvey Field, 2201 West College Parkway. Western will provide the baseball bats for the tryout; however, participants will need to bring all the other equipment they’ll need. Cost: $10.

After finishing third in the Scenic West Athletic Conference regular season, the 2006-2007 Wildcats battled their way to eight straight post-season victories and a berth in the NJCAA World Series. There, they won two straight games, including a victory over No. 1-ranked New Mexico Junior College, the 2005 NJCAA national champions.
