Be a Hero and Give Blood at WNC Fallon
Approximately eight million volunteers donate more than 12.6 million units of whole blood in the United States each year. The problem is that less than five percent of Americans eligible to donate actually do so. The Associated Students of Western Nevada are offering a chance for Fallon residents to make a donation at a blood drive Thursday, Sept. 20, 2-7 p.m., at Western Nevada College’s main parking lot, 160 Campus Way.
“Please come out and be a hero,” said Leah Burfield, event organizer and ASWN senator. “You don’t know how much your donation helps.”
To schedule an appointment, call ASWN at 775-423-7565, or just visit their office at the Fallon campus. Everyone who donates will need current identification.
