Multifaceted “ART/istry” to Hang in WNC College Gallery

“ART/istry,” an exhibit featuring “creativity from your head to the wall” by Renee Ekleberry, will hang in the College Gallery at Western Nevada College Monday, Sept. 17, through Friday, Oct. 19. This multifaceted exhibit includes paintings, illustrations, photography, printmaking, and more that were produced in a wide variety of processes.

The paintings were done in oil, acrylic, soft pastel, oil pastel, gouache, watercolor, mixed media, collage, and gold, silver and copper leaf. The illustrations were drawn in pen and ink, graphite, color pencil, and Photoshop. The printmaking process included etching, block, silkscreen, and Giclee printmaking.

“The picture frames are even unique “trash to treasure” creations,” said Ekleberry. “Thinking of taking an art class? This may be the exhibit that inspires you.”

A reception for the artist will take place in the gallery on Monday, Oct. 15, 4:30-6 p.m. Everyone in the community is welcome.
