Find Out About WNC at Latino Community Day
Western Nevada College invite parents, students and families to its first Latino Community Day on Saturday, Oct. 6, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., in Sarah Winnemucca Hall. Attendees will enjoy a complimentary lunch, free child care, raffle prizes, and a presentation in Spanish about the many programs at the college.
“We are offering an opportunity for everyone to learn about the process to register for classes at the college and how parents can help their children succeed in college,” said Luis Pierrott, WNC Tech Prep coordinator. “People can discover the many programs at Western that can provide job skills for a better future.”
Participants will tour the Carson City campus and find out about programs such as Automotive Technology, Computers, Construction, and Welding, free English as a Second Language classes, and more.
