Western Nevada College to Help Women Plan Financially
When a spouse passes away or a divorce happens, many women find themselves overwhelmed by options for making good financial decisions. Western Nevada College will offer help this fall for women that experience these kinds of life-changing situations.
Financial Planning for Women (CMSV 080C, Sec. C04), a non-credit community education class, will be offered on Wednesdays, Oct. 3-17, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Instructor Marilyn Lewis, a certified financial planner, will help students gain a basic working knowledge of how to improve their financial situations and how to plan for an inheritance, job change, a move, or retirement.
“I thoroughly enjoy assisting and educating people to improve their financial situations,” Lewis said. “I speak from my own experience and I think people can relate to that.”
Cost: $25.
