Become a Chocolate Expert or Write a Personal History at WNC
Take the opportunity to learn how to write a personal history or become a chocolate connoisseur in two non-credit classes at Western Nevada College this fall. The personal history class is designed for seniors, and the chocolate class is for anyone with a sweet tooth!
Students will sample and rate at least 20 kinds of chocolate in Special Topics: Cooking, Chocolate Tasting (CMSV 085C, Call #35917, Sec. F01) on Saturday, Oct. 20, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in WNC’s Pinon Hall, Rm. 207. Cost: $25.
Special Topics: Writing (CMSV 065C, Call #36279, Sec. F01), will meet on Saturdays, Nov. 10-Dec. 8, 9-11 a.m. in Pinon Hall, Rm. 208. The topic of this Senior College class: Christmas remembrances as a holiday gift to children and grandchildren. Cost: $50.
WNC's Senior College, based at the Fallon campus, features courses to meet the specific interests and needs of active older adults. A variety of community education and academic classes are offered. Seniors pay a small technology fee for credit classes and, if applicable, lab fees; class registration fees are waived. Non-credit classes provide a 20 percent discount to seniors who are Nevada residents.
