Blood Drive Asks You to Give From the Heart
Rolling up your sleeve to help someone in need has never been so rewarding. A "Giving From the Heart" Blood Drive at Western Nevada College Fallon on Thursday, Feb. 21, not only will help assure that blood will be there for you, your family, friends and neighbors when it is needed, but donors will also be entered into a drawing for a $250 Visa gift card.
The Fallon campus has a much-deserved reputation for giving. Coordinator Jamee Neilson, student government vice president, says, "Last semester United Blood Services stayed until 10 p.m. because so many people were willing to donate." A mobile donation unit will be set up from 2 to 7 p.m. in the college parking lot, 160 Campus Way.
A United Blood Services spokesman said each donation helps several people because the blood is separated into several components, and volunteer donors are needed on a continual basis to maintain the community blood supply.
To schedule a donation time or ask questions, call Neilson at 423-7565, ext. 2264.
