Emerging Artist to Take the Stage at WNC
Up and coming singer-guitarist Mieka Pauley will perform two free shows sponsored by the Associated Students of Western Nevada College.
She will play Friday, March 7, in the Joe Dini Student Center at Western Nevada College Carson City. Seating begins at 6:30 p.m. for the 7 p.m. show starts. Light refreshments will be served.
Pauley will also perform in Fallon on Saturday, March 8, 7 p.m., at the Jive N. Java coffee house, 1805 W. Williams Ave.
The Boston-based performer was the winner of the first "Starbucks Emerging Artist Award" and has shared the stage with Eric Clapton, Jason Mraz, Black Eyed Peas, and other prominent entertainers.
Pauley recorded a five-song demo in 2003 that was called "inspired" by several critics. She has another extended play disc, "Out of Car Wrecks and Hurricanes," that is also receiving critical acclaim.
