Proving that they have intellectual abilities as well as physical skill, the Western Wildcats Women's Soccer Team was named a 2007 Fall Academic Team of the Year by the National Junior College Athletic Association. The team's combined grade point average of 3.36 (of 4.0) was the second highest GPA in the country. Only Oxford College of Emory University in Oxford, Ga. scored higher. Records were compiled by the National Junior College Athletics Association and a team picture of the Wildcats was included in JUCO Review magazine for March 2008. Western's team won the honor in every year of its existence.
