Wildcats fall in home openers.

Softball Team Has Growing Pains

WNC felt the pain of the snowy weekend and its first-year status in its opening home series. Saturday, the Wildcats managed only two runs, falling to North Idaho College 8-2 and 12-0.

Scoring came in the first game from Alisha Perry, who doubled in the bottom of the first inning and brought home Frances Estrada. In the bottom of the fifth, Kelsie Fahr smacked a sacrifice fly to score pinch runner Brittany Naastad from third.

Devin Steelman contributed a triple in the second inning, but WNC was unable to score.
