Press Release
Sparked by four home runs, Western Nevada College bounced back from an extra inning loss one day before to defeat Iowa Western College 11-0 and stay alive at the JUCO World Series on Sunday.
Travis Feiner hit a pair of solo home runs, while Eric Maupin and Brian Barnett added two-run blasts on a cloudy morning that saw occasional rain showers in the elimination game played at Suplizio Field. Barnett's walkoff home run in the sixth inning ended the game on the 10-run rule.
WNC (46-13) remains alive in the double elimination and plays Middle Georgia in a 10 a.m. elimination game. Middle Georgia stayed alive in the tournament with a 16-6 victory against Seminole State on Sunday.
