21 cadets Head into Workforce
POST Academy Honors Graduates
2009 WNC Peace Academy Graduates
Western Nevada College graduated 21 more cadets from its Peace Officer Standards and Training class, and seven have already been hired by law enforcement agencies in the state. The following list shows the cadets' hometown, and any honors received in the program and/or agencies that have hired them:
CARSON CITY: Ivan Botello (Carson City Sheriff's Office); Maurice Elzy; Eric Edward Holden; Charles P. Jennings (CCSO); Israel Loyola (CCSo); Kyle Robert Parker (CCSO), Top Driver Award; Mandy M. Tranquillo, valedictorian.
DAYTON: Darren Stewart, Sharp Shooter Award; Justin J. Whitehead.
FALLON: Bradley Wayne Johnson; Miles Ryan McClane, "Top Gun"; Matthew Schmelzer.
FERNLEY: Brandon A. Coombs.
GARDNERVILLE: Kayla N. Davenport; Richard D. Wilson
MINDEN: Eric Michael Kern.
RENO: Aaron Lee Dewar; Brenden Donovan, University of Nevada, Reno, Police.
