WNC Fallon Opens Window to Russia

Western Nevada College is offering a unique non-credit class that will open a window to Russia's culture, art and tradition. Russian Culture and Traditions, CMSV 094C F08, call number 32795, will begin Wednesday, Oct. 7, meeting for five Wednesdays from 7-8 p.m. Cost: $120.

Instructor Martha Kostiuk-Hollier was a leading soloist of the Bolshoi Theater for more than 21 years and will share Russian folktales that reveal elements of Russia's unique traditions. Martha will also lecture on the basics of the Russian language and cuisine. The opportunity to sample and prepare traditional cuisine from Russia will be a highlight of the class and will provide for a unique opportunity to experience another culture.
