WNC Fernley Center is offering classes to enhance computing skills. Whether for business or personal use, there are classes to meet a variety of interests and needs.
Classes are .5 credits, meet on Saturdays, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and cost $39.25. Upcoming classes include:
MS Windows: Intermediate (CA110B) meets February 20. The class covers advanced functions of Program Manager, File Manager, Control Panel, etc. Students learn Notepad, Write, Paintbrush, and the fundamentals of OLE links. Basic knowledge of Windows is required.
Introduction to Digital Photography (CA130B) meets February 27. The class introduces students to the vocabulary, operation, and presentation of digital photography. Basic information about buying, using, and downloading images from a camera is covered.
Basic Internet (CA 144B) meets March 6, and helps students develop an understanding about what the Internet offers including online research, multimedia information and a vast range of topics and information. The class covers using e-mail, exchanging message with users and accessing the web with search engines.
