This Friday's noon baseball doubleheader between the WNC Wildcats and the College of Southern Nevada Coyotes will be more than just an exciting rivalry. It will also be a fund-raiser in honor of two Carson City teens who drowned recently during a scuba diving trip to Monterey Bay.
Half of the day's admission gate receipts will be donated to the families of 16-year-old Keegan Aiazzi and 17-year-old Stephan Anderson. In addition, yellow rubber bracelets will be sold for $3 each with a portion of the proceeds directed to a college scholarship in the boys' honor.
Ticket prices are $6 for adults, and $3 for children and senior citizens.
The teams will also play a doubleheader at noon on Saturday at John L. Harvey Field.
