The Western Nevada College softball team took to Edmonds Field for their final home stand series of the season Friday afternoon. The Wildcats faced the College of Southern Idaho, who sits in second place in the Scenic West Athletic Conference.
In game one, CSI took an early two-run lead, which the Wildcats answered with a single by Niki DiSera and a homerun by Jordan Thomas. After one inning, the score was even at 2-2. Five runs in the second and one in the third padded CSI's lead. In the fifth inning, Thomas singled and scored on a double by Ashley Hall. Additional Wildcat hits came in the form of singles from Melanie Pfeiffer and Megan Hein. Ashley Hall started in the circle for the Wildcats. She was relieved by Cassie Vondrak, who took the loss for Western.
