Western Nevada College is proud to host the 2011 SWAC/Region 18 baseball tournament, Wednesday-Saturday, May 11-14, at John L. Harvey Field in Carson City. Six teams from Nevada, Utah, Idaho and Colorado will compete in a double-elimination tournament. The winner will move into district competition, en route to a possible spot in the 2011 JUCO World Series.
The Wildcats, ranked tenth nationally by the NJCAA, captured the SWAC title, allowing them to host the six-team tournament this year. Other teams in the tournament include Salt Lake Community College (2), College of Southern Idaho (3), College of Southern Nevada (4), College of Eastern Utah (5), and Colorado Northwestern Community College (6).
Play begins Wednesday at 9 a.m.

9 AM: College of Southern Idaho vs. Colorado Northwestern CC
12:30 PM: College of Southern Nevada vs. College of Eastern Utah
4 PM: Loser game 1 vs. loser game 2
Thursday, May 12 -
9 AM: WNC vs. winner of game 2
12:30 PM: Salt Lake CC vs. winner of game 3
4 PM: Lowest losing seed of games 4 or 5 vs. winner of game 3
Friday, May 13 -
Semifinals begin at 9 AM
Saturday, May 14 -
Championship game at noon, with possible second game to follow.
