Learn about the night skies at the Jack Davis Observatory on Saturday evenings, at no cost. Telescope viewing of the evening sky is offered, along with periodic lectures. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., on every Saturday unless weather prevents or notification is posted.

Recent free events included:
Jan. 21: "Rockets": This slide-show lecture by Mike Thomas covers the history of rockets, from their use in the ancient world to the development of the new generation space delivery systems used today.

NOTE: LECTURES WILL BE CANCELLED AND RESCHEDULED IF SNOW IS FALLING ON THE VALLEY FLOOR IN THE CARSON CITY AREA, OR IF THERE IS SNOW ON THE ROADWAYS.
