Summer weekend workshops set

Brush Up on Computer Skills at WNC Carson

Western Nevada College Carson City is offering a variety of computer application workshops on Saturdays this summer to help local residents become and stay job-ready in today’s competitive environment. The classes meet in half-day sessions, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., offering hands-on training in diverse computer applications. They will meet in the computing laboratory at Cedar Building Rm. 331D. All student class materials are provided from the course fee.

“The Continuing Education Department is happy to be able to offer these popular, hands-on workshops at a time that should be convenient for many people,” said David Steiger, director of WNC Continuing Education and Economic Development programs. “Instructor Kris Friberg is very knowledgeable and experienced in the field,” he said. Plans are to offer the workshops as an ongoing series.
