Learn welding skills, or work toward a degree
Western Nevada College offers a series of interactive video classes and on-site classes this fall term at the Jeanne Dini Cultural Center in Yerington. The courses will allow students to earn a two-year associate degree or prepare for transfer into a four-year bachelor’s degree program.
The classes will meet between 5:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m., Monday through Thursday. beginning Monday, Aug. 27, and continuing throughthe fall semester. Students may also choose from dozens of online courses that can supplement interactive video classes to complete a degree or prepare for transfer to a university.
Interactive video classes offered this fall at the Dini Cultural Center include:
Elements of Anatomy and Physiology (BIOL 200, class # 90977, three units), Monday, 7-9:45 p.m.
Ancient and Medieval Cultures (CH 201, class # 80707, three units), Wednesday, 7-9:45 p.m.
Composition I (ENG 101, class # 80270, three units), Monday/Wednesday, 5:30-6:45 p.m., also available as a FastTrack class for high school students
Elementary Mathematics (MATH 95, class # 88187, three units), Tuesday/Thursday, 5:30-6:45 p.m.; and General Psychology (PSY 101, class # 80680, three units) Tuesday, 7-9:45 p.m.
WNC will also offer Welding I (WELD 211, class # 90859, three units) and Welding I Practice (WELD 212, class # 90861, two units) this fall at Yerington High School.
