Residents are encouraged to suggest classes and workshops they would like to have made available, and residents who have an expertise to share with the community are invited to contact the department. Community Education classes are self-supporting, meaning that the department does not receive state funds to sponsor classes and workshops. These activities are funded entirely by student fees. Classes are offered for no credit and with no final grade assigned.
