Games Continue Saturday in Salt Lake

WNC Softball Drops Doubleheader

Western Nevada College Softball faced the Scenic West Athletic Conference’s number three team, the Bruins of Salt Lake Community College, Friday, April 4 in Salt Lake. Despite 13 hits, the Wildcats dropped both games of the doubleheader 0-8 and 2-10.

In game one, seven hits, including a 3-3 plate performance by Heather Septon was not enough for the Wildcats. Andi Lee contributed, going 2-2, and Madi Gonzales and Katelyn Bomar each had singles for WNC. Pitcher Katilyn Covione took the loss.

In game two, pitcher Lindsey Ashbaugh knocked a two run homer in the second inning, but she still earned the loss in the circle. The Wildcats had six hits, including doubles by Lee and Gonzales and singles by Bomar, Covione and Jenny Rechel.
