There is a certain element of "Catch-22" involved with Web based classes. The ability to competently use your computer is a major plus in student learning success, yet, many students who take Web classes are either not interested in learning to use a computer, per se, but in learning something about another subject that happens to be delivered via a computer and the Internet. Or, what about the student taking a computer literacy class, learning to use the machine, but having to do it online?
One way to help clear up some of the confusion is to take yet another survey. This one is an assessment of your current technical skills as they relate to taking an online class. It only takes a few moments. Why don't you pop out to Online Tech Skills Survey, check it out, and return here to continue? See you in a few minutes.
Even the best of us need a little refresher once in awhile. The following links can help.
