Developmental Course Numbering

Section 1.  Course Numbering System

A.  To assist students identifying the types of courses available at WNCC and their applicability toward specific degrees, the College maintains the following numbering system:

1.      Courses articulated for transfer within the University of Nevada System -- 100 - 299

2.      Courses not articulated for transfer within the University of Nevada System -- 100B - 299B

3.      Community Service Courses -- 100C - 299C

4.      Developmental Instruction -- 0 - 99

 

B.   Developmental Course Numbering

 

001 - 020 ----- Adult Basic Education (Reading, Math, Language, Writing)
021 - 050 ----- English as a Second Language
051 - 060 ----- GED Preparation
061 - 080 ----- Lower Level Developmental Courses
081 - 099 ----- College Preparation courses (i.e., ENG 95, ENG 98)
