Policy: It shall be the policy of WNCC to compensate college employees (academic faculty, administrative faculty, and classified staff) for their work with college sponsored clubs.

Section 1.  Qualifications

A.  Advisor. A club advisor may be any full-time or part-time college employee.

 

B.   Club. To be eligible for compensation, the club for which the employee is advising must meet all of the following minimum criteria.

 

1.      Be recognized by the WNCC United Student Association.

2.      Have a membership of at least 10.

3.      Hold a minimum of one meeting per month per semester.

4.      Conduct at least one college or community project during the semester.

 

Section 2.  Approval

 

A.     The supervising dean or, if no dean is involved, the college president, must approve the advisor for compensation.

 

Section 3.  Compensation

 

A.  The approved advisory shall be eligible for a dollar supplement, the amount of which shall be established by the appropriate dean as assigned by the College Council.

 

B.   In determining the supplement, the dean shall use the part-time faculty pay scale as a guide.

 

C.  A minimum supplement, equivalent to one credit hour of instruction per semester, shall be paid to the advisor when the minimum criteria, as noted above in Section I, are met.

 

D.  Additional compensation may be awarded at the discretion of the dean.

     

E.   The supplement shall be paid to all approved advisors. The college president shall be involved where funding is uncertain.

F.   The supplement shall be paid at the end of each semester for which the advisory is approved and the club meets the minimum criteria, as noted above in Section I B.
